He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us
through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously
through Jesus Christ our Saviour, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs
having the hope of eternal life.
God is merciful. He saved us and washed our sins away and renewed us by the Holy Spirit. And He did this
through Jesus, who is our Saviour. To give us hope of eternal life! Thank you God, for salvation and for hope!
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you
a hope and a future.
God wants the best for us. He is not out to set us up for failure or harm. We can have hope about the future because God really does have a good plan for our lives.
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Comment: Christ died for us, and we are forgiven for our sins. Forgiveness means giving
up the right to see the person who wronged you get punished. If God has forgiven them, how can we
not forgive them? Knowing this can make it easier to forgive others. We pray this helps you.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
